The influence of process routes on the mechanical properties and microstructure of Ti5553 isothermal forgings with different components was investigated. The requirements for titanium alloys in light of potential applicability to airframe structures were discussed for current. The results indicate that Ti5553 alloys with different microstructure and mechanical properties are obtained according to different processes.
